I grew up in Sheffield, in the United Kingdom, and have previously lived in Oxford, Boston, Washington DC, and New Delhi. I currently live in London with my wife, Rafaela, and son, Esten.
My undergraduate studies were in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the University of Oxford. I subsequently received Masters degrees in Economics from University College London
and Public Policy from Harvard University.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked on health policy for the British Government, leading projects on human capital policies, and at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC.
I used to have a range of hobbies, but since April 2019 these have been replaced by caring for our newborn son!
